I would say Alt.Country…it’s more country when you have the fiddle and more alternative when you don’t…so it all depends on how much of that you will incorporate into your sound…and also if the Lap Steel were Slide Guitar it would be less Country and more Alt.Rock …. Sorry I don’t think I’ve helped here… hahahahaha !!!!

Hey guys! I hope everything is going well…..I read in the press release on your website that your band “alternates between slight indie distortion and melodic folk-rock”. I think that gets pretty close to describing your sound……Unfortunately, it also probably involves three or four “genres” so you may have to face the fact that you’ll never be able to escape your identity dilemma……But why fall into the self-limiting labeling trap anyway?…. Instead, perhaps you could call yourselves “damn good live and recorded music you can usually dance to….with freakin’ pedal steel to boot”…..But, if you really feel that you have to narrow it down to “one”, I’d have to suggest “Altcountryfolkindierootsrock”….And, by the way, if at all possible, please save the last weekend in June, 2011 for my backyard music festival in Belchertown, MA. I’ll be in touch.
